Pictured above are four of the many activities and clubs that I was involved in during high school. I was a successful athlete with 3 years of varsity play for each sport, and multiple awards received from each sport. As a member of HOSA I was able to compete at the state level in a biomedical debate with my team and place third in the state, and now move on to the international competition in Orlando, Florida. I was also an officer on my school's associated student body for two years where I served as junior class secretary and ASB secretary. Other programs that I was involved in include link crew where I was a mentor to freshmen when I was an upperclassman, and the Health Institute where I took a class that prepared me for a job in the medical field.

Over the summer of 2015 I worked a full time position as an office assistant at TerraNova where I had many responsibilities such as filling out paper work, making employee packets, and helping them with harvest documents. This was a great first job and prepared me for future employment.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Within my community I have dedicated to volunteer work through opportunities presented to me through Immanuel Lutheran Church where I serve on the church council and am actively involved in their youth group. Being a part of Immanuel has given me the opportunity to volunteer many hours at events such as the Caruthers Fair food booth where money is raised to donate to the Fresno Rescue Mission. I have also been able to volunteer at The Poverello House have worked other charity events to support our community. Being a part of Immanuel Lutheran Church has allowed me to make close ties within me community as well as make me appreciate it for exactly what it is.

As part of my health institute program at my school I was given the opportunity to volunteer at Community Regional Medical Center. At the hospital, the staff had us do many different tasks that helped them do their job better so that patient's could get the best care. While volunteering I had the opportunity to shadow nurses in the labor and delivery floor and even watch a child be born! Volunteering at the hospital has been my favorite way of giving back to my community, and I hope to keep volunteering after highschool.
